Flash In The Pan

Like a lightning bolt across the sky

Streaking with the brightest of calm

Creating a path of no return

She dazzles away in a jiffy

Nothing could hold back the time

Flash in the pan

Define in the finesse of African beauty

Chiseled on the marble of time

Chatty but unassuming in thoughts

With carriage of brilliance staccato

Ready to love but with a heart of steel

Flash in the pan

Like a model walks through the runway

Looking not behind what had gone past

Strutting with overwhelming confidence

With unfaltering steps lean on the Wind

She dares the future with a gentle mien

Flash in the pan

Not asking for the little things the day hold

Contented with its delivery

Exuding much energy that connects love

Intensely passionate about that is offered

She leaves the heart yearning for more

Flash in the pan

Loosening the cap that bound the two

Bottled in the shortest time

The magical feeling is nudged away

The experience was truly Emily

Short-lived and trashed as meant to be

Flash in the pan of love
